I'm working on another screenplay, this one featuring the landscapes of Nevada and Utah. The story is a hero's journey, wrapped around a road trip, ending with the hero discovering he has become a man. It also is a redemption story, as one of the characters learns he has not wasted his life. Below I have placed the synopsis of the working title, "The Favor."
A young man wants out of his small town, but the path to deliverance requires him to agree to do his uncle a favor. Only this favor could send him to prison.
He agrees to help his uncle, but finds himself outrunning the state police, meeting a mysterious stranger and discovering if he wants to return home he’ll have to step up and face his fears. In the end, he discovers he can make his dreams come true, even when the odds are stacked against him.
