Television Comes to WordyMouth

Posted on Sep 07 , 2007 in Communication & PR Tech & Web 2.0

I'm a television guy. Meaning, I watch way too much TV and I was trained to develop TV. One of the things I've found is that it often is better for me to just have TV roll over me. I hear an idea and it generates a new one. That led me to create a Mogulus TV channel for my blog. This is live TV on the Internet, pulling in content mostly from YouTube, but also from other sources.

For instance, I found a clip featuring my friends Ike Pigott and Kami Huyse on YouTube related to a strategy involving blogs (you can see Ike talking and hear Kami interviewing him). I like this clip because it describes a PR tactic and now am sharing it on my WordyMouth TV channel. I've found more than 50 videos describing public relations strategies and tactics, crisis communication, truth in PR and communications, PR measurement, and other ideas pointing to social media tools and ideas on communications in the Web 2.0 world. All of these are now in the lineup and they float over you in real time, just like TV. I know have my own cable access channel!

I see this new channel being expanded to provide a training video channel for my employer and I could see how it could be used to provide live updates in a crisis. For instance, I now can prepare a live broadcast, which for me is much easier than editing a vodcast, podcast or video. So look for me to be more interactive on this site using my Mogulus channel. BTW, you can find the TV channel by linking to one of the pages in the navigation or by linking directly to the page.

Also, if you're interested in Mogulus, I have invites. Contact me.

Neat that you found my stuff. I hope to add much more. I am very interested in a Moglus invite. Video is my next frontier.
