I've had a few people comment on this blog and on Facebook about why does this matter? The whole point of writing about becoming a SuperStar is that there is a clear formula for achieving success and notoriety. The path may take different routes, but I can assure you that following a simple formula can result in improved exposure for your company, or in today's world, in your reputation. In the next few blog posts, I'm going to be looking intently at how to rapidly develop a platform to expose your business or self to achieve maximum visibility. I will then delve into the various other elements required to achieve what I call SuperStardom. You may want to just call it the path to success.

Accomplishment x Personality x (Presentation + Exposure) = SuperStardom

Accomplishment can be planned and managed or fallen into. This is why I suggest that you must identify that unique thing that sets you apart. Or you need to find the one cause or issue that you have a passion for. However, some accomplishments are not available to us unless we already have a talent or happen to be in the right place or right time. Take the Duggar Family, for example. If you’re a woman older than 16 you may have past your prime for setting a record of 18 children with number 19 on the way! And that may not be an accomplishment you want to aspire to anyway. Being wise will not be counted as an accomplishment unless you have exposure. Just as setting a record will not be counted as an accomplishment if you never aspire to tell someone about it. But in any case, you must find an accomplishment, unique attribute or must-have-product to showcase or build upon to achieve SuperStardom.

Personality doesn’t have to be wacky and zany nor suave and debonair, just a little something that connects you to the masses. You have to be able to connect with your audience and hold them. Tom Dickson just looks like a nutty professor or that fire-prone science teacher we all endured in high school. His personality is appropriate for his series of Blendtec videos:  Will It Blend? His personality has made his company into a SuperStar.

Presentation- Personality can be like a powerful locomotive. It can haul you to stardom or derail into a mass of twisted steel. You need to craft your presentation into a smooth running bullet train gliding along on the gleaming rails of the media. You can be like Kanye West or Taylor Swift. Sweet and lovable or a "Jackass!"

Exposure - The world is not going to stop by and visit with you on your front porch swing and discover your personality. You need exposure, whether staged or discovered, before you will achieve maximum SuperStardom. It can happen rather quickly, or it can take years. You control the time line and the mechanism of exposure. This may require using multiple channels, many exposure opportunities and creating your own.

It All Equals...

You can leave one item out of the equation, but your chances of pure SuperStardom are greatly diminished. Successful endeavors require a bit of risk, ingenuity, uniqueness and timing. This series of articles will further explore how to achieve Super Success in your professional life to afford you the opportunity to achieve your goals. Many of you may question, "Why we need a How To Guide to SuperStardom?" Most of us we don’t need SuperStardom just to be seen in the night sky. However, if the opportunity is there why risk missing the chance to to be as bright as the sun?

Cheers!
