I love this little device! I can check my emails, twitter, search for a coffee shop, browse the web, and practically think as it types my ideas. My Blackberry 8100 helps me stay connected, keeps from getting lost and it’s easy to carry.
My Treo – I don’t like it so much. It’s hard to use at times, interrupts in the middle of text messages and then deletes my work, and requires me to use the pointer way too often. I just recently figured out how to type a colon – the instructions didn’t mention the Alt key and I couldn’t find the SYM key.
I have two phones because it’s easier to carry two phones than spend my time sorting out the personal calls from the business ones. The Treo is for work and the Blackberry is for fun.
I suggested once that the office just give me a stipend each month and let me pick my phone and calling plan, but that notion would apparently disrupt the gravitational forces and make the earth flop over on its axis. So I carry two phones.
Currently, I use the Blackberry to take photos, text, make calls, and as a faux GPS device. I have the Google Maps with the “approximate location” feature turned on, which works like a poor-man’s GPS, but keeps me from getting lost. I also can search for a dry cleaner or a store anywhere and be pointed in the right direction. I have a lot of Google Apps installed in this phone ranging from GMail to Google News. I also have TwitterBerry and a Facebook app installed. Not to mention all of the games and other cool tools, too many to enumerate.
The Treo is a phone only. I’m sure it can do much more, but why bother. I use the Blackberry for everything else.
